The Centre is working to ensure the health and safety of all patrons and staff is maintained. We want to address the growing fears around the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and share with you the information we have at the current time.

We are working to ensure our centre remains a safe place to visit and work. The health and safety of our community is our main priority, we always uphold a high standard of hygiene within the centre, however are taking extra precautions during this time.

We hope you will do what you can to take care of yourself and those around you, we also encourage you to use and support our community facility with confidence while it is safe to do so.

Remember if you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of the flu, cough or cold to please remain away from the centre until you are feeling 100%.

Update - 18/06/2021

We’re thrilled to inform you that the Victorian State Government Covid-19 restrictions have lifted in Metro VIC, and we are all set to reopen additional facilities from 5.30am Friday 18 June!

We will reopen with limited facilities and density limits in accordance with Victorian State Government directives. Please check our schedule via our bookings page and refer to signage in the centre for details. 

Bookings will be required to access all facilities and programs at this time. Following social distancing rules and the state regulations, we are limited to the number of people in each room and class as well as the overall centre. Please utilise the bookings site to book your visit. 

Masks will be required indoors except when in the pool, exercising or drinking. Masks are required outdoors where people cannot physically distance. 

Your memberships and passes 

During this stage of restrictions, your membership remain on free suspension, unless you wish to activate it. If you wish to activate your membership please complete the form HERE

Casual visits can be purchased at reception, please pay via card if possible. All sessions will be charged at $7.50 for this period. 

Facilities and services

From Friday 18 June, the following facilities and services will be available:

  • A select number of group fitness classes will recommence, class capacities are limited to 10 participants.
  • The gym will reopen with limited capacity. Gym sessions commence hourly on the half hour, with 50 minutes available to utilise the gym and 10 minutes for cleaning time.   
  • Limited pool facilities will open, with access available to 25m pool and warm water pool for lap swimming and rehabilitation purposes. Indoor pool sessions commence hourly on the half hour, with 50 minutes available to utilise the gym and 10 minutes for cleaning time.   
  • 50m pool sessions will be extended to 1 hour and 45 minutes, with sessions commencing each hour.
  • The spa, steam room and learn to swim pool will remain closed during this stage of restrictions.  
  • All visitors must book in advance via the bookings site.
  • QR code check-in via the Services Victoria app is mandatory.   
  • Change rooms, showers and lockers are not available at this time.
  • A limited number of toilets will be available in each area of the facility.
  • Please come prepared for your workout or swim and shower at home. 
  • The Deck Cafe will open for take-away only, from 8am-12noon, commencing Tuesday 22 June. 

GOswim lessons

Due to facility patron limits, GOswim lessons will not commence during this stage of reopening. We will provide a further update about GOswim as soon as we have further information available. 

Squad programs and group bookings

Formal squad training programs and group bookings will not commence at this time. Squad swimmers are encouraged to book a swim at their preferred time and will be contacted separately with full details on arrangements in place.  

Please remember:

Our team are working hard to ensure our Centre follows strict hygiene rules and a high standard of hygiene and cleaning. We ask that you do your bit too.

If you are feeling unwell or if you have come into contact in the proceeding 14 days with any confirmed cases of COVID-19 do not attend the Centre.

Update - 09/06/2021

Following the State Government directive, lockdown restrictions remain in place for Metro Melbourne, meaning we will remain closed until further Government direction. 

While we have seen some freedom for Metro Victoria, these easing restriction unfortunately do not include Community Leisure facilities like ours.

Your Membership

  • All future bookings you have made (for the closure period) will be cancelled.   
  • We will contact you once the advised temporary closure period concludes, or as directed by the Government.    
  • We will be giving you FREE access to the Home Fitness Network during the closure period, see below for more information. 

Current Restrictions 

Restrictions still apply in line with circuit breaker lockdown revisions from the State Government. 

  • the five reasons to leave home will no longer apply in metro Melbourne. 
  • the existing 10-kilometre limit will be increased to 25 kilometres. 
  • Travel to regional Victoria is a no go for now. 
  • Restaurants, cafés and pubs will reopen with density limits in place, unfortunately not community leisure facilities like ours. 
  • Restrictions including mask-wearing remain in place. 
  • Victoria QR requirements are mandatory to check-in across the whole of the State

As per State Government directive, the current restrictions will remain in place for a further seven days. We will be closed until Friday 11 June.

You are required to stay home and within 10km of your home, with five exceptions: 

  • Shopping for essentials like groceries, medicine and necessary supplies 

  • Medical or healthcare needs, including compassionate requirements and looking after the vulnerable 

  • Exercise within your neighbourhood, with your household members, your intimate partner, or one other person who is not from your household or your partner for up to two hours per day 

  • Authorised work or study 

  • To get your COVID-19 vaccination

Update - 27/05/2021

7-Day Circuit Breaker Lockdown in place 

 As per State Government directive, we will be closed effective from 11.59pm tonight (Thursday 27 May) until 11.59pm Thursday 3 June. 

This period is subject to change in line with revisions from the state government.  

Due to this temporary closure, please read below what this will mean for you, our members and guests.    

By staying at home and limiting contact with other people, we can each help to protect the elderly, the at-risk, and healthcare workers and slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).   

Your Membership    

  • Your membership will be placed on a free suspension for the 7-day closure period. 
  • All future bookings you have made (for the closure period) will be cancelled.   
  • We will contact you once the advised temporary closure period concludes, or as directed by the Government.    
  • We will be giving you FREE access to the Home Fitness Network during the closure period, look out for an email from us with details on how to claim your access. 

What does a 7-Day circuit breaker lockdown mean? 

You are required to stay home and within 5km of your home, with five exceptions: 

  • Shopping for essentials like groceries, medicine and necessary supplies 
  • Medical or healthcare needs, including compassionate requirements and looking after the vulnerable 
  • Exercise within their neighbourhood, with your household members, your intimate partner, or one other person who is not from your household or your partner for up to two hours per day 
  • Work, where you cannot work from home or remotely 
  • To get your COVID-19 vaccination 

I booked in for a session. Will these run as planned? 
Unfortunately, not. Any booked sessions will be cancelled because we must close our doors by close of business today – Thursday 27 May 2021. We will keep you updated on re-opening so you can start to train with us again.

Update - 25/05/2021

Face masks must be worn when visiting

As per State Government directive, revised restrictions apply effective 6pm tonight – Tuesday 25 May – Melbourne metro. 

Masks will be required indoors and outdoors where people cannot physically distance. Your face mask must be worn when visiting our centre except when in the pool, exercising or drinking. 

We will re-open with density limits in accordance with Government directives. Please check our timetable and refer to signage in our Centre for details.

Thank you for your patience as we work to stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep our community safe. These restrictions are a "responsible step" to take to curb the outbreak.  

Update - 24/03/2021

Update. Eased restrictions and Check-In requirements 

In line with the announcement from the VIC Government, from 6pm on Friday 26 March, Victoria will further relax its COVIDSafe Settings. 

Face masks will no longer be required in retail settings but Victorians will still need to carry one with them at all times. 

There will no longer be limits on capacity (other than 1 per 2sqm density quotient). Please check our website for operating and timetable updates. 

As required by the VIC Government, we must manage Check-In and Out for Contact Tracing record keeping. 

What does this mean for you and us? 

  • Pen and paper contract tracing methods are no longer a suitable form of contact tracing 
  • All members, staff and visitors should Check in using the Services Vic app 

How to use the Services Vic app? 

  • The free Services Vic app is available for download from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. 
  • You should use the Services Vic app each time you enter and exit our facility 

If you do not have a smartphone or are unable to use one, others in your group can check in for you or staff at the premises will be able to check you in manually.

Our Centre’s COVIDSafe initiatives and practices are still in place to ensure a safe experience in our venue. This includes the use and provision of hand sanitiser stations, social distancing measures and revisions to our classes to cater for capacity restrictions.

What are we doing to minimise health risks in-Centre?

The Centre will be vigilant in implementing infection control procedures including daily cleaning in accordance with normal protocols, the promotion of healthy hygiene habits and will make hand sanitiser available for staff and patrons to use while using the Centre.
 

What information and advice will help our members?

For now, the best advice is to follow some simple steps to help slow the spread of the virus and to reduce the risk of infection.

If I have or am undergoing a period of self-isolation, what happens to my membership?

If you are showing symptoms or have been recommended by a Health Professional to self isolate, you should be staying at home and minimising contact with others.  Please contact the Centre team to discuss managing your membership where you are uncertain of your options.
 

Are casual passes still available for purchase?

Yes. Casual visit passes are still available.
